Water treatments are not appreciated as they should be

Today we look at just two paragraphs on page 237, and they are powerful paragraphs. The first shows the importance and reasons we should drink water and use it externally. The second encourages all to use it “externally.”

This section references page 127,

Pure air, sunlight, abstemiousness, rest, exercise, proper diet, the use of water, trust in divine power — these are the true remedies. Every person should have a knowledge of nature’s remedial agencies and how to apply them. It is essential both to understand the principles involved in the treatment of the sick and to have a practical training that will enable one rightly to use this knowledge.

The use of natural remedies requires an amount of care and effort that many are not willing to give.

To summarise: “Every person”, or from today “all”, should know the theory and practical applications of the true remedies. A good place to learn about water treatments is Traditional Hydrotherapy.

Why are people reluctant to use hydrotherapy?

  • they are afraid of it
  • they do not appreciate it
  • they are unwilling to do the work. It is too humbling and requires care and effort.

After recently teaching a class in hydrotherapy, I think the main reason for all of this is that they have never experienced the benefits of hydrotherapy themselves and have little opportunity of doing so.

“Pain and disease” can be relieved by skillful hydrotherapy… in many cases this is the only known therapy. And it is surprisingly simple.

Mothers especially need to know this because if the children grow up experiencing these remedies, and so understanding the principles, they will be less likely to take less effective options later. Also the child will probably be healthier, because hydrotherapy “checks” many diseases by preventing the development of the full-blown disease.
