Questions

  • Describe “a pilgrim life”.
  • God has promised all the wisdom we need (p. 482), why not just give us wisdom to plan our own lives?
  • Think of an occasion when Christ planned ahead. What is the difference to His daily program?
  • The promise for guidance is dependant on what action of ours?
  • “Let God plan for you” vs. planning “a brilliant future”, what are the advantages?
  • “God never leads His children otherwise than they would choose to be led”. Can you think of a situation where you have wondered about that?
  • What will a consciousness of the “glorious purpose” of our work with God do?
  • Who said God will “keep the feet of His saints”? Why is that significant?
  • Can you think of a time when you rejected “flattering prospects” and found the treasure of being “with the Saviour”?
  • Since you started seriously following Christ, have you lacked anything?
  • “Today the Saviour calls us… to His work.” Have you heard the call?
  • What happens when we “trust His care” and rely on His strength?
