Collectible Card Game Berserk doubles active players each month. Over $150.000 was paid out in prize money.
Berserk is a blockchain trading card game like Hearthstone. It’s available on PC, Android, and iOS. (Search for Berserk Vulcanites Unleashed) It’s one of the games built by blockchain game studio Vulcan Forged, based in Athens, Greece. It’s free to play. Anyone can join the fun.
As you signup, and play for the first time, you will receive a free deck of cards. These are non-tradable cards, and everyone owns the same ones. With these cards, you can start your Berserk adventure using the deck builder shown below and learn how to play. Some will begin collecting unique NFT cards and Vulcanites. You can use these NFTs in-game as normal Berserk cards. There is a big economy regarding Berserk cards trading! This is mainly the reason why three leagues exist.
- Starter league. No premium cards are allowed.
- Mythic League. Vulcanites up to level 3 and max mythic league NFTs.
- Legendary League. Open for all Vulcanites and cards. But you have to use a level 1 or higher Vulcanite.
Two tournaments have been played so far with some high prize money involved. NFT collectible card game (CCG)
Berserk is a fantasy NFT collectible card game. The cards used for the game can be traded at the marketplace. (you need an account first) It would be best if you had the native token $PYR to buy and trade Berserk cards. The objective of the game is to reduce your opponent's life to zero points. if you succeed, you win experience points (XP) and soon also $LAVA. $LAVA is a cryptocurrency that can be traded on the VulcanDEX. As soon as Berserk starts paying out $LAVA, the game can be considered a PlayToEarn game. Skilled players will be able to earn a fair amount of money while playing. And the best players of the world will be eligible to win massive prizes during the Berserk tournaments.
There are currently two types of cards in Berserk. Spell cards and creature cards exist right now. Creature cards are played to 1 of 7 spaces on the board and can only be played if there is room. Spell cards can be played at any time during your turn. Card rarity is essential, as there is a collectible component regarding the NFTs involved. Common, rare, mythic, epic, and legendary cards can be traded.
Each player has a deck of exactly 30 cards. You can create multiple decks and choose one before each game, depending on your strategy.
The game is also using Vulcanites used in the Vulcan Forged ecosystem. These NFTs can be used for multiple games like Berserk. Vulcanites will grant a hero attack during gameplay. If you own one, it will give an advantage for sure. Anyone who registers an account on Myforge can choose a free Vulcanite. I would consider doing this! Create a Myforge account over here. If you manage to earn 100 XP minimum, you will receive free $LAVA. 100 XP is ten wins.
Gameplay
Berserk is played using a board with seven spaces for cards. You can only summon a maximum of 7 cards at the board at the same time. Your deck contains 30 cards. Choose your next move carefully, as you could run out of cards pretty quickly. You can see all cards lost and the number of cards you have left to play with.

Berserk Season 1 (100K USD prize money)
In May and June 2021, season 1 of Berserk has been played. It was the start and launch event of this new game based on NFT gameplay.
Loads of players battled each other during the first-ever tournament. $75.000 was paid out for the top 100 players at the end of the tournament. $25.000 was paid out to players with the most wins. Special NFTs were given away during special raffles for competing players worth over $50.000.

These prizes were paid out in $PYR while $PYR was valued at $2 each. Some of the players mentioned did not sell the prize money. So, for example, Toby actually won $67.500 based on the current price of $PYR!
Also, five rare, two mythic, two epic, and one legendary NFT Berserk cards have been won by several competitors.
Berserk September 2021 Tournament
A new and improved system was introduced. During this tournament, it was only allowed to play with blue Berserk cards (free cards) and level 0 vulcanites (free vulcanites). This way, everyone was able to compete with a zero-dollar investment. Fair and easy.
Hundreds of players signed up. The tournament can be considered an enormous success. Three players played the finals as the double-elimination method was used. The loser of the final could still win his second game and get a rematch. Cocolemon won the Berserk tournament! Akashikino was able to secure second place and Trout won the third prize! Big congrats :-)
The winners all won a common, rare, and mythic Berserk NFT. The bushwhack wolf, cantankerous mammoth, scorpion stance, desert winds, and hilltop fort of the Amazons were among the prizes the players won. These packages are worth roughly $15.000-$20.000 each.
Also, all players who reached the elimination rounds (32 players) won an NFT prize! Lots of happy winners :-)
