Hello everyone =)

Another week has passed and I used my time to get familiarised with the framework Qt. As I mentioned on a previous post, I’m using this framework for a school project. I have to make kind of a BomberMan game mixed with PacMan.

To get better at Qt I’m following some Youtube videos. If you’re interested you can check out this couple of channels(this & this). I’ve been learning Qt from those channels and also from several hours spent reading Qt Documentation that they have online.

So far I’ve made kind a of space invaders thing but without the graphics.

I’ve been following the tutorial made by Abdullah Aghazadah, the owner of the first channel I mentioned.

In my BomberMan game I’ve only made a login screen communicating with the server. The part of communication, the invisible part to to user, between those 2 processes is what took the longest getting ready, because there are several things that both the server and the client need to do to accomplish this. I still have to make some adjustments to make it all work but it should be ready today.

Next I have to start implementing the graphics part along with all the game mechanics on the server side.

I’ll do some updates on this when I have some more things to show. =)

Crossfit

Like I metioned on this post I practice Crossfit, and I love it!

I do it almost everyday and I’ll use this post to talk about my goal and maybe a sneak peak at what my training was today.

My goal in fitness is the same as my goal in life.

I try to get better everyday.

In Crossfit that’s a little bit easier to measure because I can log the weight I did on a X movement, or how many rounds I made on a Y workout and then compare with previous logs. It’s always awesome when you see improvement.

For example in yesterday’s workout we had Power Cleans to do. My PR(personal record) was 73Kg but yesterday I managed to do with 80Kg.

You can see which movement I’m talking about in the video below.

It’s always awesome when you get a new PR, you always feel great after =)

Enough about yesterday, today’s training technique was about a movement that I really want to do but I can’t yet. I’m talking about a Bar Muscle up.

I think I have the strenght needed to do the movement but I’m lacking technique, so today’s training was awesome for that. We do several progressions so we can feel and understand the movement. I tried to do one in the end but I’m still not there, I need to practice more.

The Wod(Workout of the Day) was:
AMRAP 10' (As many reps as possible in 10 minutes of)
15 Toes to Bar
10 Pull Ups
5 Chest to Bar
20 Box Jumps

AMRAP means that we do that combination of movement over and over again until those 10 minutes are over.
I did 1 round plus 15 Toes to bar, 10 Pull ups and 5 Chest to bar.
In this workout you get to a point where you can’t grab the bar anymore.

This kills your forearms, nevertheless I notice great improvement in this department, I usually get my forearms tired very quickly and can’t do much or have to rest a lot of time, but today I managed to keep a good rhythm.

Does any one you workout? what do you do? Comment below with your answers =)

That’s all for this post.
I’ll be releasing another post this weekend with a review of the book Deep Work, hope to see you there.

Bye!
