The Best Teachers of the Curly Girl Method

The curly hair community is on the rise, and there are certain girls that are killing it out there helping us curlies to be the best we can! Here’s a list of the top 3 Curly Girls to follow on social media and Youtube for the best tips.

1. Manes by Mell

This Canadian Curly Girl has the most descriptive and organized videos on how to manage curly hair that you will ever see. Not only is she Real AF about it but she is also a master of the craft, as she’s a hairstylist who specializes in curly hair! From protein and moisture, to knowing the simple steps on wash day, she explains it all. She has tons of videos for all curly girls on her Youtube channel and is very active on Instagram.

2. Jayme Jo

This curly girl has 3b type curls and goes into detail on how to take care of that type of curl. She goes through her washing routine on her channel, from which I was inspired to write about the best 4 tips for curly girls. She’s a big fan of the classic denman brush and posts weekly. She simplifies the task of taking care of curly hair and recommends the best products.

3. y.aasmine

4. @curlyheadquarters

An up and coming curly hair care PAGE! If you want tips for diffusing, which types of oils to use and their benefits or any curly hair tips and tricks make sure to give her a follow!

A little transformation action for ya!

These 4 Curly Girls are on the come-up. This is more for type 3 curls, although if you go through Manes by Mell’s channel she covers ALL TYPES OF CURLS.

Following curly girls that have already gone through their curly hair journey has really guided me and inspired me throughout mine.

Their advice and encouragement is constant and they make you feel like you are a part of a community (which you are, boo!!) and that your curly hair struggles, are their curly hair struggles.
