Below, you’ll find more than 100 top-rated products that are made in America and available on Amazon.

Finding quality USA-made products is not as easy as one would hope. As a starting point for this guide, I Googled “best products made in the USA” and read dozens of articles and slideshows. Nearly all of them contained inaccurate or misleading information (often noted by commenters).

Many articles focus on brands, not individual products, and therefore suggest that all Weber grills, Lasko fans, Wilson footballs and Crayola crayons are made domestically. The fact is, some of these brands’ bestselling products are manufactured in part, or in whole, in China, Vietnam and Mexico.

Other articles appear to have been published recently, but in reality, the author has updated the article to include new information while neglecting to verify that the existing information was still accurate. (E.g. American Apparel now uses a network of global factories and most Stetson hats are manufactured abroad.)

I also conducted a similar search on Amazon that returned tens of thousands of results, but it quickly became clear that many “Made in USA” claims are unverifiable or demonstrably false. The New York Times’ exposé entitled “Companies Falsely Labeled Products ‘Made in U.S.A.’ Their Financial Penalty? $0” only scratches the surface of this problem. Many Amazon sellers are outside the scope of FTC enforcement, and therefore, have everything to gain and nothing to lose by making false claims.

In the end, the most useful and up-to-date information that I found was on Reddit’s /r/buyitforlife community. After building a master list of 500 products, I began the process of screening those products for fake reviews, reading customer testimonials, eliminating overpriced goods and verifying that specific products were indeed made in the USA. The resulting list is the outcome of more than 100 hours of research and investigation.

Specifically, this article highlights products that are:

  • Made in the USA;
  • Competitively priced;
  • Sold by authorized merchants;
  • Rated above-average; and
  • Available to buy on Amazon.
