6 Things Entrepreneurs Should do Before 6 AM
If you are an entrepreneur, staging your day for success begins the moment you get out of bed. Many people ignore the importance of having a morning routine, but it really is crucial, especially for the small businessman or entrepreneur. Here are 6 things that all entrepreneurs should do before 6 in the morning.
Read Your Newspaper of Choice
Staying informed of events in the world is very important for success as an entrepreneur. You should dedicate some time in the morning to reading your favorite newspaper. If you don’t already have a newspaper of choice, try reading major papers that focus themselves heavily on matters of business and finance. The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times are two perennial favorites.
Get Some Exercise
Being an entrepreneur is difficult work with long hours. In that rush, many of us are prone to forget doing basics like taking care of our bodies. Getting a quick workout, such as a jog, a relaxing walk, or a few minutes of weight training in early in the morning will not only help to keep you in shape, but will also wake you up and put you in peak condition for the rest of the day.
Check and Answer Emails
Getting your correspondence out of the way early will make your day more efficient. By taking care of this task early on, you can proceed with your day without it looming over your head.
Review Business from the Previous Day
If any tasks were not completed the day before, early the next morning is a great time to get them done. Review your business from the previous day to ensure that you can move forward today without anything that was not finished the day day before slowing you down.
Create a Battle Plan for the Day
Early in the morning is the best time to plan out your day. Figure out exactly what you need to do, when it needs to be done, and how long it will take you to do it. This will help you to be more efficient.
Get Motivated
Getting “in the zone” is important for success as an entrepreneur. Getting yourself motivated can be as simple as watching a motivational video, listening to music, or reading an inspiring book. Getting motivated early in the morning will help you to keep making rapid progress throughout the day.
