If consumers are “hoarding” money, what are those “people” with billions of dollars in offshore accounts doing? What about the plutocrats who have the money to spend, but don’t actually wear more than 1 pair of pants at a time?
Stopped reading when I discovered the problem. You and others play to win. If you’re not winning you’re not happy. I play to have fun. Win or lose. I’m not a competitive player, and by your own admission, neither are you. Why does it matter when it doesn’t matter? If you play the game competitively for money, it’s a different story.
Oh, I’ve been there and done that. I was speaking from experience. Sometimes the only thing you can do is remove yourself from the environment--for many more reasons than things like this alone. Some people just will not be reasoned with. Different priorities.
Often, I believe the issue isn’t that those of us who actually care about these things don’t want to make sure they happen, it’s that the people who actually make the decisions don’t care that they happen. As long as the site is live when it’s supposed to be and works for the majority of use cases, their work is done [for the moment]. We’re all agile…
