When he started going beyond excelling, I was a little worried too. What if he is working too hard, what if he is always trying to be perfect, what if he is not being a regular kid and missing out on silly childhood stuff?

Like many parents, I worried when I shouldn't have. I should have been happier, proud, and relaxed that he was an overachiever, who genuinely took pride in his achievements and loved every second of being a better version of himself each year.

But I didn't want him to miss out on a happy normal kid life.
