You can search with “Kindle Cloud Reader” through your browser. Then, if you’re required to sign in, please sign in to Kindle.

Step 5: Export Kindle highlights & notes

If you succeed in logging in, you can see a page like below. So, please click “Notes & Highlights” on the left.

There are three ways to export Kindle highlights & notes. Please choose the right one you want to use. Here are three options.

Option 1: Import highlights & notes into Glasp

Option 2: Copy-n-paste all the highlights and notes on other note-taking apps

Option 3: Download Kindle highlights & notes as Text, CSV, or MD file

Option 1: Import highlights & notes into Glasp

If you cannot see Glasp’s popup at the top right, please check whether you’re logged in to the Glasp account on the extension or not. You can click the Glasp icon on the toolbar at the top to log in.

Then, please click “Select Books” at the top right. It will show another popup to choose books to import into Glasp.

You can choose books as many as you want. After choosing books, click “Import to Glasp” at the bottom right of the popup.

After that, go to your profile page (My Highlights) on Glasp. Then, click “Kindle” on the top bar. It will show the imported books list and their highlights and notes.

And you can add tags, comments, and additional notes to the books from the right section on this profile page.

Notice: Your highlights and notes are private and unseeable by other people. Other people can see only the titles and thumbnails. Below is an example.

Option 2: Copy-n-paste all the highlights and notes on other note-taking apps

In this option, you can copy all the highlights and notes from one book and paste them on note-taking apps such as Notion, Obsidian, Roam Research, Evernote, Apple notes, etc.

To do that, you can choose one book from the left and show its highlights & notes. Then, click “Copy Highlights” at the top of the popup. It copies all the highlights & notes, so please paste them anywhere you want.

Here are examples of pasting highlights and notes.
