Following the story of God’s dear love for Man (mankind) through creation, we find that Man fell short of God’s love by eating of the forbidden fruit from the tree of good & evil. You see, the fruit let the passage for sin into the world. Sin ruined Man’s relationship with God. This ruin increased and became unbearable. God decided to restart mankind. But God knew Noah, righteous before Him amongst a woeful generation (Genesis 7:1). In the aim to destroy all living creatures but Noah and his family, God told Noah to build an ark; to house him (Noah), his family, and two of every living thing of all flesh.

After Noah had prepared as God instructed him, the flood came. The same flood that would destroy the world, would be the same flood that would bear Noah’s Ark upward.

Emphatically, as Christians, we are in Christ. Christ is our Ark. When the flood of economic crunch comes upon the world it’s not there because of us. Remember, the same flood that destroyed the world was the same flood that bore Noah’s Ark upward.

LESSON: Stay in Christ. In Christ is your protection. In Christ is your Ark.

Genesis 6:13 NIV
So God said to Noah, “I am going to put an end to all people, for the earth is filled with violence because of them. I am surely going to destroy both them and the earth.

I think this here is amazing. This answers where the violence in the earth came from. Other than from sin, the verse above says the earth got filled with violence through man; who being corrupt and desperately wicked had corrupted his way upon the earth. I don’t believe that the animals (beasts) of the earth, in the beginning, fed by the carnivorous pyramidal food chain as we know it today. Why? Because the Bible says, God had already prepared green herbs for all the beasts of the earth, and it was to be for their food (Genesis 1:30).

Always keep your mind open to possibilities, don’t think that because you came into the world to find a set of animals classified as carnivorous, it then means they were always carnivorous. If we are taking knowledge from this Book (the Bible) (as we should, being children of the Word): the Word let’s us know that it wasn’t always like that. The gruesome violence in the earth was a derivative of sin and the sinful man.

But did you know, in all this, God in His love still gave Man (mankind) some time to repent of his ways before he wiped all creature off the face of the earth? The Holy Spirit played a most active role in this. The Spirit had been striving to call men to repentance and righteousness, especially as Scripture notes, through the preaching of Enoch and Noah (2 Peter 2:5 & Jude 1:14). The Bible says, “God waited patiently (for the sinners) in the days of Noah while the ark was being built” (1 Peter 3:20 NIV). Our Love God. He waited patiently for them, He gave them 120yrs to repent, still, they heeded otherwise and perished of their wrongs. (Genesis 6:3).
