Tuesday
My dear wifey:
I was glad to receive your letter & to hear what Mr. Hoffman had said. He is in a position to bring my name before Mr. Rill but as far as getting a job goes he can’t help me. He is a good man to stay on the right side of.
I am really getting anxious to hear from the PRR because this wanderlust business is getting monotonous. One redeeming feature is that Scriv is along & he’s a swell gent. Mr. Hamilton, Bradford & Freeman are still at Savannah finishing up the report so if it wasn’t for Scriv I’d be alone with Walter and I might just as well travel by myself as to travel with Walter.
I see in the papers that you are having some pretty cold weather. Mobile has been plenty warm — sometimes too warm. I haven’t been able to do much about my tan because I can’t very well get away during the days. I guess I’ll have to wait for our second honeymoon.
Nothing important has happened since Sunday. I certainly did enjoy myself playing golf & visiting.
I hope I hear about my new job some time this week so I can see you over the weekend.
All my love,
Fritz
