My dear wifey:

I had a swell time at the party. Mr. Sullivan is certainly tops as a party giver because everything was just right. Besides having the RFC lawyers he had a few men from the PRR & one of these PRR men is a man that I should have a lot of contact with if I ever get back to the PRR. It’s only on occasions like this that you get to know men well.

I got in around 5am — we played cards until the wee hours of the morning. I won so the party was a double success. After Mr. Sullivan’s party I took some of the fellows to a fairy joint & heated them on my winnings.

Mr. Barriger asked me to come over to the office at 1 PM & go out to his house for dinner. This means that the whole day will be taken care of for me as we will all probably stay there until train time. I’m really pretty lucky to be able to work for a gent like Barriger.

I had planned to walk down & see the cherry blossoms today but I would rather go to the Barriger’s any day. I’m depending on Barriger for my present & future jobs so it pays me to get on the right side of him.

I certainly wish that you could have been in on everything this weekend because I know you would have enjoyed it. You know I miss you & am thinking of you all the time — and hoping that my round the country trip will not keep me away from you too long.

All my love,

Fritz
