Thursday

My dear wifey:

I guess I should begin by calling you out because I have not received a letter from you in 2 or 3 days. I wish you would write more often.

I went to the movies Tuesday & Wednesday night. This evening I played pool with the boys until my fingers got sore. There is so little to do in the town especially while the Judge is away. The judge is always good for a long ride — he has a new Buick.

Although I got somewhat of a tan last Saturday playing golf I’ve lost it already. I hope the men invite me out again this Saturday but that is a lot to expect because the game is pretty expensive.

Seviv & I have become very well acquainted with the Vice-President’s secretary. He’s a fellow about 35+ seems like a swell gent. He told us that he would take us to a boxing match tomorrow night if he can get tickets. I think I’m pretty lucky to run into such nice people. I’ve developed more friendships on this railroad than any I’ve ever been on.

I can’t figure out what’s happened on the PRR. They should let me know something soon. I wish Mr. Barriger would come down soon. I would like to talk it over with him. He might pester them until he got a yes or no answer.

I’m getting more anxious every day to see you & hope we can get together soon. I’m always thinking of you.

Your loving hubby,

Fritz
