2. EXPRESS YOUR EMOTIONS, SO YOU CAN PROCESS AND RELEASE THEM:

This is one step that has proven to be very effective for me. However, I’m not a licensed coach, and would HIGHLY RECOMMEND WORKING WITH A LICENSED COACH, if you are unsure in any way. One who can guide you to process and release these trapped emotions safely and permanently.

NOTE: I’m NOT a Licensed Coach, but I’m Sharing the Techniques that I’ve acquired working with my various life, spiritual, and creative coaches. These work really well for me. Hope these work for you too:

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY: Whenever you’re feeling overwhelmed by the emotions of it all, and you find yourself in a precarious position, I find that any type of physical activity is tremendously helpful in releasing these emotions!

Dancing, Singing, Working Out, Going for a Walk, Jumping Jacks, are all fast ways of releasing whatever you’re feeling powerless over. It allows you to get into your body, and become grounded, and release all the overwhelming emotions!

SCREAMING INTO A PILLOW: I learned this one from my coach. Screaming into the pillow for a few minutes — you won’t be able to do this for long, anyways— also releases all the trapped emotions.

NOTE: If you can’t actually scream out loud, just pretend to scream, keeping the intensity as-if you’re really screaming, and let the emotions out.

AGAIN, PLEASE WORK WITH A LICENSED COACH TO LEARN HOW TO SAFELY PROCESS YOUR EMOTIONS and RELEASE THEM.

FREE WRITING/JOURNALING: This one is my personal favorite! You can do it safely and quietly anywhere. and it’s easy: JUST WRITE.

Whatever you’re feeling. Don’t worry about what you’re writing. No need to be PC. No need to read or judge what you’re writing. Just write about what you’re feeling and let it all out on paper. You can also write with your non-dominant hand (left hand, for most people) so your mind is taken out of it completely, allowing you to write emotionally. Afterward, throw these writings away. No need to read what you wrote.

NOTE: Sometimes, these kinds of writings can reveal a personal insight about yourself. Which for me, then become the NEXT STEPS to take, in order to go further into my self-empowering journey.

3. Transforming your Pain into Purpose

Which is what I’m doing here. Right now, openly sharing my life with you, via this article. Doing this, while being scary and vulnerable, also makes me feel like I’m in charge of my life and my experience.

Instead of feeling victimized and overwhelmed by negative experiences, I chose to learn from it, and am now sharing it with the world in the hopes of connecting with somebody who also needs to grow and learn from their challenging experiences.

Rather than getting bogged down in the injustice of it all, I get to claim it, release it, and transmute it into something that empowers myself and others and helps us all rise above our circumstances. WIN-WIN.

And hopefully, make each other feel a little supported and less lonely.

HOW YOU CAN DO IT: This is one of the places where social media can really be a force for good. Share your experience and tell the world what you learned, how you dealt with your challenges, and how came out victorious on the other side of it! PROMISE, this works!

MY 2-CENTS WORTH OF ADVICE: I’m a huge advocate of INTENTION SETTING. So I’d ask you to NOT use this as a signal to rant and rave about everything that is wrong in your life.

Instead, use this transmuting as an HONEST WAY to RELEASE a situation from your life permanently as a way of releasing yourself from it, and guiding others through it. #intention

That’s it! These simple, but Not Easy Steps can help transform your life for the better. Make you feel more in command of your life, and authentically empowered to show up the way you always wanted to!
