What is Black Survival? A TL;DR
If you like Battle Royale, The Hunger Games, or Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds, you will most definitely like Black Survival too!
Black Survival is a last-man-standing, Battle Royale style PvP game by ARCHBEARS. The game’s description on the store goes like this:
Black Survival is a Real-Time Survival Game, where you must survive by any means out of 10 competitors in a deserted island. Make split-second decisions with a single click! Immerse yourself in the fierce battle for survival; you do not have a second to spare! Search, Craft, Attack, and Run!
On this blog post, I am writing about a summary of the pros, cons, and things I wish we have in the game right now. So players and non-players, please share your thoughts by commenting below!
Disclaimer: All of my opinions are based on my understanding and current knowledge of the game. I am from Carnivore League’s Fox II at the time of this writing and play only a few matches every week.

+New rotation of playable characters in unranked games every week
+Character & Skin sale rotatation every week
+No ads (unless you want to revive for free in mobile)
+Unlimited revive before you reach Carnivore League (If your character dies, you can’t play with him/her anymore unless you purchase a revive serum or wait it out. But in Herbivore League, reviving is free)
+You can revive with the cost of watching an ad (mobile) or 250-ish gold (very cheap!)
+Easy to earn gold (around 50–550 gold per match depending on your placement)
+You can get lots of gold in Herbivore League (the game gives you a lot of gold everytime you rank-up)
+Skins are only for pure cosmetic
+Daily login bonus (100 bear point everyday)
Visual & Sounds:
+Great atmospheric soundtrack
+Great anime-style character art
+Great backgrounds
+Great sound effects
+Unique and immersive user-interface
Gameplay, Mechanics, and Lore:
+No Pay-to-Win elements
+Easy controls
+No in-game harrassment (you don’t want to waste your time in chat while another player sneaks up on you, do you?)
+Comes with a full tutorial
+Has AI practice
+Quitters or Leavers are not a problem
+Quit if you want, it’s an advantage to everyone else (since the game is a last-man-standing game, a leaving player is actually an advantage to everyone else. Doing this in ranked game will cost you negative ranked points. Be warned!)
+Immersive
+Easy to find match (0:00–1:30 minutes usually)
+Can work on low to medium end phones
+Has a really interesting lore and flavour text
+Each round could be more or less than 20 mins long (this is a good game length in my opinion)
+If you die, you can immediately start a new game (assuming you have extra characters or if revived your character)
+Flexible playstyles depending on the character you use
+Has a guide for every item in-game and in the main menu
+Has good documentation and FAQ of mechanics, crafting recipes, characters, etc.
Cons 😥:
-Medium to High learning curve (requires a lot of memorization, where to get certain items, recipes of items, etc.)
- Can sometimes be luck-based on picking up certain items and supply crates (c’mon, every game includes some RNG some way or the other) *cough* JP’s laptop *cough*
-I think it’s not possible to reconnect once you exit the game (not sure)
-Players closer to the servers have a little advantage because of less lag (few milliseconds)
-Players might have advantage when using desktop over mobile or vice-versa (Not sure about this one. Please give leave some comments below!)
-Sometimes, I think phone specs affects gameplay (few milliseconds)
-No attack/hurt animations (only like the old Pokemon games. Dear ARCHBEARS, I hope you make animations in the future! 💖)
-Lag can kill you if you are unlucky (again, just like any other online game out there)
-No team multiplayer (yet)
-Minor balancing issues (I think the game will be more and more balanced in the future)
Things I wish was in the game right now:
-2v2v2v2v2 Royal Rumble!
-Attack/Hurt animations (I know this is not the priority of the company though, it’s alright)
-Map / Event cosmetic? (Christmas, Halloween? Etc.)
