To hold MANGROVE tokens migrated from Lykke and be able to vote on Mangrove DAO proposals in Snapshot you will need a wallet that supports tokens on Polygon blockchain.

There is a number of such wallets that you may use:

If you use Chrome browser, Metamask would be a convenient tool that you can install as browser extention. (Otherwise please try any of the wallets mentioned above, such as for example Coinbase Wallet, Fortmatic or Wallet-Connect enabled Trust Wallet).

If you decide to try Metamask, first you would need to go to Metamask web-page and choose “Install Metamask for Chrome”.

You will be prompted to import existing wallet (if you have one) or create a new wallet:

Choose “Create a Wallet” and set up a password. New Ethereum wallet will be created locally in your browser.

The next important step would be to secure a backup of a 12-words Secret Recovery Phrase that is the “master key” to your wallet and your funds.

For additional security please store this phrase in a password manager or
write this phrase on a piece of paper and store in a secure location (a vault would be great!).

Be aware that if you loose the backup of your private key you may not be able to recover access to your wallet forever and ever.

After a successful install you should see your wallet, something like this:

You may always find your wallet, when click on a Fox face in the extensions lists on the top right of your browser.

Now after the wallet is created you can already copy the wallet address and send it to claim the MANGROVE tokens. Just click on the address and it will be copied to the clipboard.

Since MANGROVE tokens live not on Ethereum, but on Polygon blockchain there will be a couple more steps that you would need to do to see your claimed tokens.

Firstly, you will need to add Polygon network to your Metamask. Click on “Ethereum Mainnet” drop down menu, and then “Add Network

Enter the following details:

Adding Polygon network in Metamask

Now you can switch to Polygon network in the Metamask.

The final thing you’d need to do to is to add the MANGROVE token to be displayed in your Metamask wallet. Click “Import tokens”:

Adding custome token to Metamask

And add the following token address:

The remaining fields will be filled in automatically by Metamask:

After that please click “Add Custom Token”, and then “Import tokens”.

Voila, you should now be able to see your balance of MANGROVE tokens:

If you have any troubles, please try to lookup the Polygon guide or this guide here.

Hope everyhing works and you are now the MANGROVE token holder!

We plan to write another Medium post explaining how to vote with your MANGROVE tokens.

In the meantime please feel free to join the Mangrove DAO Discord.

May the 🌳 be with you!
