A skinny meat guide to Palanga area

I’ve done the homework so you know where to go for a best-in-town burger.

My personal travel wisdom for starter: knowing the right places to eat while abroad drastically improves your chances to enjoy the trip. It’s even twice better to have a local food junkie showing some must-haves around the town and just for this one post let me be your local.

MO MO Grill

Beef rib eye steak, 250 gr. €17.00

There are some socially approved tags people tend to use to show how good or unique the place or food is which are “#1”, “The Best”, “Must Go”, “Famous for”. So here it is — Mo Mo Grill is the #1 must go place in Klaipeda famous for its steaks. Yep, you read it right — Klaipeda, as it’s kind of a tough job to find a descent food in Palanga. Everything about this restaurant is just perfect: any meat you go for will make your day, the 5-table cosy interior and super friendly staff. ¡Ay, caramba! Check this out — these folks don’t even have a microwave, they just warmed my kid’s pure in a boiling water. This shows the attitude to food.

To eat:

  • Beef rib eye steak
  • Beef tenderloin
  • Potato pie

s7ven

Rabbit burger, ~ €7.00

Everybody loves burgers. Every bar, gastro pub or food truck in the area sells the best burgers in town (Klaipeda again) but man s7ven is the first place in my life serving rabbit burgers. I have no idea how they made it so juice but it just melts in your month. Apart from the huge draft beer selection the family owned pub which is by the way 8 months old has it home-made chips mojo. So make sure you get a portion with your burger.

To eat:

  • Rabbir burger
  • Home made potato chips

Address: Žvejų gatvė 2, Klaipėda 91248, Lithuania

A-petit

Apetit burger, ~ €8

This time it’s A-petit from Palanga and I am giving my both hands for its chef (24 year old) and those incredible dishes they make here. You go straight to onion french soup with crouton and boom — heaven. But hey, share it with your partner as the Apetit burger you gonna eat next may blow you mind with its size and flavours and home-made chips and …. omg … the cottage cheese-butter something dip. Take me away, honey, bring another Lithuanian IPA, love this place.
P.S. The IPA is as good as the food so I bought extra 2 bottles for the evening on terrace.

To eat:

  • Onion soup
  • Cheese cream soup
  • Apetit burger
  • Raviolli
