April was one of the most eventful months for MetaChess yet. In this article, we’ll go over what happened and what’s ahead for us.
Our Territorial Contest concluded
On the 1st of April, our Territorial Quest ended and it had a whopping 5.3 million entries! By every count, the contest was an unprecedented success! At the end of the month, we distributed prizes to all the lucky winners.
We revealed Warfront characters & released our Warfront trailer
We revealed some new characters for our Warfront game mode:

You can now stake SHAH tokens
We also launched staking of our SHAH token. You can read more on that here.
By staking SHAH tokens, you have the opportunity to earn more SHAH tokens. That could mean more tokens to use on the MetaChess platform!
We released our whitepaper

We established some great partnerships

We held our IDO and INO, and had our TGE
Some of the most significant events that we had in April were our INO and IDO. You can find info in our blog and this tweet about our INO.
Our IDO was also a huge success as we raised a solid amount of funds. We’re in a good position to continue hitting our roadmap milestones and become the leading play-to-earn chess platform.
Following the IDO on April 26th, we had our TGE, which was very successful as well. Again, we thank all of you who contributed to the realization of this milestone.
We also wanted to celebrate our TGE and we organized a celebration contest with $25k in NFT prizes. The contest is now over and the 500 winners will be announced soon.

What’s Next?
We wouldn’t have made it to this day without the support of our community. Thank you again!
Having said that, and having recounted all the milestones behind us, we know that there’s still a long road ahead.
Following this, we plan to integrate the Tournament and Land Lease features to the platform. We’re looking into giving the Treasure Quest game mode a spin and adding the ability for our users to have custom models in the game. We also wish to Implement some in-game advertising, launch a coaching platform and launch MetaChess Warfront Alpha.
After all that, we wish to organize and sponsor offline tournaments as we’ve already done, partner with top artists to create game assets (you guys seem to love those), and integrate Captivity and Overkill game modes.
We’ll continue to rely on your support, and the passion of our team and our CEO Jephtah, to reach these milestones. Stay tuned — the road ahead is bright if we continue working together.
About MetaChess:
MetaChess is the first 3D multiplayer play-to-earn (P2E) and NFT metaverse chess game. The platform is in 2D and 3D. The 3D version will be divided into two. The first part is the regular chess game, with traditional chess pieces in 3D. The second part is more animated and fancy. It consists of chess pieces in the form of humanoid characters. You can own NFTs (unique chess pieces) which will be used in the game. The platform also has play-to-earn (P2E) models that make it worth players’ time. The 2D version is currently playable. You can either play with AI or play with another user.
