MetaChess is the world’s first blockchain-based, NFT and metaverse dedicated chess platform. Since we aim to give the world’s oldest game a facelift, we want to ensure our platform has all the capabilities a 21st century chess metaverse should.

Cross-Chain
Ever since the start of our project, we realized we should avoid letting our platform be locked to just one blockchain. We made one of our priorities to adapt cross-chain and cross-platform capabilities.
Due to the inconstant and unpredictable cost of blockchain transactions on the Ethereum network, we decided that our platform would benefit greatly from integrating other solutions that could include any type of user.
A cross-chain is defined by a mechanism that allows for interoperability between two or more independent blockchains. Cross-chain capabilities allow for different blockchains to interpret one another and be able to asset swap and asset transfer between them. With cross-chains, many of the limitations found in one single blockchain can be avoided.
Given that the type of security used, the consensus algorithm, and network topology are quite the same, the logical sequence of block generation and verification are consistent with multiple chains which makes the cross-chain interaction relatively simple.
That is why the game was built to have a cross-chain system prepared to house several blockchains and allow users to choose between their preferred ledger and run the platform across their preferred operating system.
Now, you don’t have to worry about getting a wallet on another blockchain. And you can get right to what matters: Playing chess.
Cross-Platform
We also decided to implement cross-platform capabilities. This capability allows users with different operating systems to easily use MetaChess.
Today, there are a lot of operating systems and different devices and MetaChess aims to be accessible from each and every one of these. A cross-platform product is a system that can work across multiple types of platforms or operating environments.
MetaChess wants to be available on every front. There is a standard specifically designed to enable cross-platform systems to work the same way across multiple platforms. From Android mobile devices to Windows desktops and from iPhones to Mac notebooks, MetaChess plans to let users enjoy the amazing chess-based ecosystem the way they please.
Note: MetaChess’ metaverse will be available on any platform. Yes, that’s right — you can even play Warfront mode from your phone, laptop or desktop!

About MetaChess
MetaChess is the first 3D multiplayer play-to-earn (P2E) and NFT metaverse chess game. The platform is in 2D and 3D. The 3D version will be divided into two. The first part is the regular chess game, with traditional chess pieces in 3D. The second part is more animated and fancy. It consists of chess pieces in the form of humanoid characters. You can own NFTs (unique chess pieces) which will be used in the game. The platform also has play-to-earn (P2E) models that make it worth players’ time. The 2D version is currently playable. You can either play with AI or play with another user.
