Lego Build 102 — Shoden Tank
Still not the promised breakdown of current and future plans, but real-life has been causing me trouble again, this time a bit more seriously than the usual. So, I decided to just keep doing smaller builds, so this blog won’t stagnate. Hence today’s post, which I’m really happy about nevertheless.
Sporting a rather unusual design, the Shoden was designed by Clan Nova Cat during the 3060s. It was meant as a way to offer powerful fire-support to its defense forces. Heavy armor and a good amount of machineguns defend the machine from incoming fire and infantry attacks.
So successful was the vehicle that it would eventually enter service in the DCMS and other military organizations throughout the Inner Sphere.
The back of the model was what I had more trouble with, as the six small wheels couldn’t been realistically achieved with normal wheels at this scale. The layout reminds me of my prior Tokugawa, although if I used the larger wheels in the front of the Shoden it would be far too big. So I had to make a compromise, albeit not one that makes me too happy. You let me know what you think.
If you enjoy my work you can give me a tip on my Ko-fi account. It does help me keeping my lights on and my head up during these trying times. Also, if I get enough support, it would allow me to invest more time in the Mechwarrior 4-inspired Mechwarrior: Destiny RPG module.
You can check prior RPG work I’ve done here. And my own original horror RPG here. Have fun and enjoy your games!
And thank you all for your support and generosity. Some of you know what has been going on and all the amazing support I’ve been given has help me push through. Thank you.
