Lego Build 67 — Hellspawn

Whilst the Gray Death Legion novels were my intro to BattleTech, I could say that my formative experience was in fact MechWarrior 4. I have already posted ‘Mechs that first appeared in that game here before, but this is one of my all-time favorites in the setting.

Mind you, I did play MechWarrior 2 and Mechwarrior 3050 before that game, and although I loved the insight into the Refusal War and the Clan Invasion, I never got around to being good at either of those games. It was only in MechWarrior 4, due to the simplified controls, that I actually had fun and enjoyed running around causing havoc in the Inner Sphere.

MechWarrior 4 also introduced quite a few new ‘Mechs in the setting, all quite interesting to look at and play with. Some of the most fun I had was with the nimble and quite well-armed Hellspawn.

This was a machine developed by the Davion half of the Federated Commonwealth. It was meant to replace several older types then in service, being mostly modeled after the venerable Dervish. It was equipped with a mix of lasers and long-range missile systems, as well as ECM and jump jets.

This model here uses 46 parts and is colored in my personal Mercenary scheme. It shouldn’t be hard to put together.

Let me know if you make one yourself.

Regarding my prior post — I still have some outstanding issues that eat away at my free time, mostly derived from work and other private life stuff. But, as previously stated, I intend to do my best to keep this blog going, even if many posts start to come at more irregular intervals.

Hope you people understand. But don’t fret, I’m not going anywhere. :)
