“Which of all my important nothings shall I tell you first?”― Jane Austen

Essays about the creeping vine-like thoughts and clinging moments that sink their teeth into the mortar of my mind’s walls. Before the invasive roots of madness take over, here’s a record of the ascension to give it purpose, meaning, and an indelible haunt. They will be in no particular order, there won’t be any particular theme, but I will strive to select from the topics offered on this platform. (I'm actually looking forward to the latter! Like so many other writers, the events of the last decade swept us up and carried us far from where we were in our craft. I'm grateful to find it all patiently waiting for me where I left off.)

My writing has been getting me into trouble since age 11. Nothing has changed about that except it has seasoned me. Sometimes a little salty, sometimes too much pepper. But always striving for the perfect balance of both. I've written for both the sheer pleasure of it and professionally since the mid-90s. I've been an editor, a literary agent, and book/author promotor. I'm sometimes messy and sporadic. Occasionally, I'll have a lot to offer. Then, without warning, I'll go silent. I'm also an artist and will most likely share that with you via the artwork for my stories. I write fiction and creative nonfiction. Mostly dark, psychological thrillers, heavy on plot mystery, character dilemma, era/times I'm familiar, (GenX, here). I will also mainly contribute to topics under Life, Self-Improvement, and Media as they are my wheelhouse.

Mostly, you can expect my writing and style to be just random climbing expressions, arguments, some old college papers, (some political or related to study); current events opinions, (also, some political or related to interest); letters (sent and never to be sent) that turned into essays, or personal narrative markers along this journey for you to scale with me and, hopefully, be moved. I like to be moved when I read other’s work, don’t you? And while some of my pieces may not agree with you, yours might not agree with me, I’ll still read them and always with an eye in search of how much we have in common or to simply appreciate our differences.

If unapologetic, explicit topics of a literary bent, with some humor to balance those stinging or stunning humbling experiences of life’s gains and losses through raw topics about the courage of thought and intimacy of mind and that's your thing, great! It’s a journey and the pleasure of your company to read along is welcome.

I’m glad you’re here. Thank you to my existing readers for migrating, and to new readers for following. As always, feedback is encouraged and always, always welcome!
