How To: Migrate Your Modclub Account to the New Decentralized Platform

Hello, Modclub community!

We’ve embarked on an exciting journey towards decentralization, and we want you to join us. To ensure a smooth transition, we’ve prepared a simple step-by-step guide to help you migrate your existing Modclub account to our new decentralized platform.

When you complete the migration you will be assigned a reputation score based on the points you collected in the Beta application. You will be either a Senior, Junior, or Novice moderator. At some point after migration we will airdrop Mod Tokens to some of our early users, based on the points earned in the test-app. Note: this will not be done one-to-one, as the Beta did not have the tokenomics implemented.

Important: Existing Modclub partners will also need to re-integrate with the new Modclubs decentralized app. This may temporarily reduce the availability of tasks for review, but it’s a necessary step to embrace the future of Modclub.

Let’s get started:

Step 1: Go to Modclub.app and Click Launch App

Whether you are a new or existing Modclub moderator, start by going to Modclub.app (https://modclub.app/#/) and click the Beta 1.0 button.

Step 2: Log in with your existing Internet Identity or Wallet

Log in with your existing Internet Identity, Plug or Stoic wallet. Note that we no longer support Infinity Swap wallet, but you will still be able to migrate your account if you go through the following steps.

Step 3: Click the Migrate Account Button

If you’re an existing Modclub user you must migrate your account. After you have signed in, click on the “Migrate Account” button.

Step 4: Log In with Your Internet ID or Wallet

To ensure a secure migration, you’ll be prompted to log in with the same Internet ID or wallet (Plug, Stoic or InfinitySwap) that you used on the old Modclub platform.

Step 5: Back to the Main Site

Once you’ve successfully logged in with your Internet ID, you’ll be redirected to the main Modclub site. Your account is now connected to our decentralized platform!

Step 6: Re-Do Proof of Humanity

As a final step, we need to ensure that you’re still a real human being! You’ll be asked to complete the “Proof of Humanity” process. This helps maintain the integrity of our moderator community.

That’s it! You’ve successfully migrated your Modclub account to our decentralized platform. We appreciate your support and commitment to the Modclub community.
