Remember to Say Thank You
When I was in the hospital last month dealing with complications from my kidney donation, there was a particular doctor that took a special interest in getting me well. I’d be waking up from anesthesia and see him standing in the corner talking with surgeons, in street clothes; he had come in off duty to check on me.
I am quite certain that Dr. Carter is the reason that I am still here today.
In one of our many conversations, he stated that he mountain bikes on my little obscure dirt road. When I got home, I had a sign professionally made and posted it on the road.
I wasn’t sure that I would ever know if Dr. Carter even saw it.
This morning, I noticed that the sign was torn down and was nicely placed elsewhere on my property. I went to pick it up and discovered that it had not only been taken down, but written on:
We don’t seem to take the time to thank the people in our lives.
Make sure that you thank those that have made a difference in your life.
