How to change the splash screen for Adobe Illustrator on Mac

In this tutorial, I’ll show you how to quickly replace the loading screen splash art with your own creation. This takes about 5 minutes.

Step 1: Open the Adobe Illustrator application folder

Step 2: Right-click “Adobe Illustrator CC 2018” and select “Show Package Contents”

Step 3: Find and replace the “ai_cc_splash.png” file

You should replace all 3 files; here are the resolutions:

ai_cc_splash.png: 700x500 px
ai_cc_splash2@2x.png: 1400x1000 px
ai_cc_splash@3to2x.png: 1050x750 px

If you’re lazy (like me), just replace ai_cc_splash.png and delete the others.

Step 4: open Adobe Illustrator and enjoy!
