How can Facebook Spaces help your product marketing?

✔️Are you launching a new product?

✔️Giving new updates to an older product?

✔️Or do you want to showcase your product in a novel way?

Facebook Spaces is a fun, engaging way to showcase your brand’s new inventions in social VR…and it’s owned by Facebook!

Here are 5 ways you can get your content social VR ready for your product lines.

  1. Schedule. Connect your content calendar to help organize your marketing initiatives and include social VR as a tab item!
  2. Influencers. Choose an influencer wisely, this will need to be someone who knows how to build community, understands Social VR (the technical side too!) and is creative. It could be a Product Manager who is the biggest cheerleader for your brand, your current Facebook Group Community Lead, an influencer in the industry, and more.
  3. Oculus Ready. Purchase a few Oculus Rift’s for the company and PC’s that are Oculus Rift Ready. Have your influencers, design team, social media leads, product team brainstorm together in meetings! Working together will help showcase your product in the best virtual light possible.
  4. Social VR Assets. Once you have your plan, package up your media for the chosen influencer.

Items you might want to include: 3D model of your product, An edited beauty shot in 360 — for the background, A customized product shot image to add to your influencers Facebook Spaces shirt and to your Facebook Group (your audience might be in Facebook Spaces.) Take selfies, go live, and talk about what sets your product apart, create a fun series that makes your product the lead, get creative, as mentioned in my previous blogs on social VR…the options are endless. Then share the images on Facebook with your tribe of followers so they can use it too.

Social VR Tip: Create a contest with your product image and ask your community to remix it, have them wear it, take a selfie or go live, and then share it with your community!

5. Interviews/Weekly Shows: Create a weekly show or interview thought leaders! It is a great way to position yourself with industry thought leaders and promote your product, conference, or event.

Example: Two of the AR VR Women co-founders Siciliana Trevino and Iva Leon invited me to their weekly Facebook Spaces talk show called, Feature Friday, to talk tips on the VR Conference by Oculus where we talked about Oculus Connect 5 tips for newcomers and things we were looking forward to.
