What exactly is Nodio?
We are calling Nodio a router when in reality it’s a fully functional blockchain computer that has enough processing power to provide plenty of functions while running multiple decentralized applications. The heart of Nodio is a Snapdragon 820 processor with an LPDDR4 up to 8GB RAM. This processor provides enough computing power to efficiently run DApps in LXC containers. The device is equipped with a 500GB Hitachi thin hard drive which allows users to store data but more importantly serves as a running ground for decentralized applications. Nodio runs a back end of the DApp which users download from GitHub, while phone runs a front end which users get from the App Store and Google Play. It means that your phone serves only as an interface for the DApps. The back-end itself and all its data are stored on Nodio’s hard drive which saves tons of space on your device.
The primary method to manage Nodio is through an app on your phone or tablet or PC. However, it is also possible to control Nodio using a 0805 SMD LED display of the device. It is custom energy-saving display with a high pixel density for the best visual perception.
Nodio is designed in the form of a router, so we took good care about its connectivity abilities. It has a Six-Element Beamforming Antenna Array with a Concurrent Dual-Band 2.4 GHz + 5 GHz and connects to your devices via BLE. We built in ZigBee to make the creation of mesh networks possible. The form of a router was chosen to make the device useful for people, who are not yet interested or well informed about the possibilities of blockchain technology. We are sure that in time all Nodio users will start using the possibilities of the device to its fullest.

Nodio has a very broad audience. For starters, its most essential functions like data protection, personal VPN or VPN over Tor and decentralization are very attractive to a mass market. The problem of privacy is on the hype. Also, Nodio has a significant potential in the IoT sector, where it can manage the whole network while protecting it from threats. Another prosperous market is the people who know about the blockchain and its possibilities.The variety of decentralized solutions one can build is unbelievable. Nodio and Peer economy
Nodio has the potential to become an ultimate device for sharing economy. For hundreds of years, people were making deals with the help of a trusted third party (banks, realtors, notaries, etc.). The weird thing is that banks tend to get bankrupt, realtors often are overpriced, and the notaries corrupt. Nodio makes that “trusted” third party disappear by switching it to a strong blockchain community. It will save money, but most importantly time. Let’s say you want to rent a house or a car. Ethereum, Lisk, Waves, or similar blockchain can ensure a smart contract between two parties while Nodio allows them to follow it through without a personal presence. A lock of an object of rent connects to Nodio, now it can be rented remotely by providing a tenant with a digital key, which will be available after a successful payment using a smart contract.

Will it be open?
Nodio will be fully customizable. It will be open source and have a modular structure, so you will be able to upgrade it. Also, we are planning to develop indicators for smart homes (temperature, water, gas, fire, smoke, etc.).
When will Nodio become available to purchase?
We are planning on launching the product in less than a year. We’d love to give you a precise date, but there are lots of indicators that does not depend on us alone (patents, shipment, etc.).

The estimated price is 200$-250$. We are trying to make it lower without harming the quality of the product.
