Why your Time is the Best Gift to Give

You can buy a lot of things but you can’t buy more time.

No matter how much money you have, there are still 24 hours in a day and 7 days in a week. Your time is the only thing you can’t have more of.

Your time is limited. You get a certain amount of it when you’re born and every day you lose some of it to what’s called your past. That makes time precious.

But we don’t always treat it like that.

As human beings, we learn the true value of most things when we lose them. Time is no exception.

When you’re young, you think you have so much time on your hand that you need to get together with your friends to kill some.

Then you grow up and become an adult, you get a job and suddenly realize how precious your time is.

The time that used to be killed by video games and TV is now killed by commuting to and from work.

You only have a few hours after work for yourself and spending that in the traffic is never fun or fair.

Every waking hour only happens once. When you see the value of your time like this, you don’t want to waste any of it.

Something that you used to kill becomes a gift.

Because we don’t have unlimited time, it makes it the best gift we’ve got. But it also makes it the best gift we can give others.

When you spend an hour with someone, especially in a one on one situation, you give them an hour of your life!

Nothing has more value than your own time. That makes your time a unique gift. Something that you need to spend wisely.

An hour gone is an hour gone, you will never get it back.

It’s a simple concept but we still end up wasting so much time on the wrong causes and with the wrong people.

Working at a job you don’t truly love while exchanging your time for money is not the best way to use your gift. If you’re in that situation it’s never too late to quit your job.

There’s no guarantee you’ll be alive until the next promotion. So don’t take your time for granted.

You like it or not, the market determines the value of your time when it comes to employment. But you should see your value beyond that. You need to be in charge of it.

The more you achieve success the more valuable your time becomes. Not only because of its monetary value but also because it becomes even more limited.

Your gift becomes more precious. Everyone wants a chunk of your time and your challenge is to share your gift responsibly.

But the value of your time is not always determined by your career or business. Spending quality time with your friends and family is much more important.

Sharing your time with your loved ones is one of the best ways to share your gift with the world.

Beyond that, spend the rest of your time on what makes you happy and share your gift with those who deserve it.
