MAASPHERE UPDATE: NEW BEGINNING
People of WakaWaka,
It’s been a looong while since you heard from us and I know these past few months have been difficult for many in the markets, us included. As a matter of fact we ran out of funding and things seemed to slow down, but that hasn’t stopped us from continuing with the grind towards the grand Vision we laid out for you in our #Roadmap. Speaking of #Roadmaps Phase 2: Alpha is about to get a major and exciting revamp which we can’t wait to share with you.
I must not miss to mention that countless hours have gone into defining and breaking down our audacious vision into bite sized chunks (that sometimes we think a roadmap may not do enough justice to paint the full picture). The Morans Origins story has always been at the backbone of our vision, mission and brand. To keep it simple, we’ve settled to approach things from three main angles. Animation, Gaming and NFTs. Let’s break it down….
Animation
Folks, we’ve kept it under wraps for far too long but we can’t hold it any longer. This has been at the very core of our aspirations. That you and I will someday get to follow the origins of the morans as an animated series on Netflix 🥳. I’m delighted to mention that we are taking formidable steps required to establish a fully fledged animation studio (Think Pixar) that will be based in Africa. The aim of this studio is to not only produce inspiring stories based on the origins of morans but to also provide a platform that will empower creatives across Africa to ship inspiring stories about Africa to the rest of the world. At the very heart of this mission is to empower the next generation of african born creatives, artists, writers and animators and all to harness and share their potential with the world. Pssst We recently got enrolled in a leading African animation incubator program but more updates are coming soon 🤫.
Gaming
We’ve always been passionate about gaming in Africa, especially excited about the numerous opportunities presented by the intersection of youth, mobile and web3. We believe there’s a lot of potential that is waiting to be unlocked and even with some strides there’s still tons of room for improvement. In this regard we are delighted to announce that we’ve been working on a crypto powered mobile gaming platform that we plan to launch soon. For now we are carrying out user research and testing with an a group of you morans. Onboarding more morans in the coming days.
NFTs
Finally, NFTs, Crypto and Web 3 as a whole are the icing on the cake. It is what excites us even more, particularly how we can leverage this world changing tech to enable new business models and power up our grand vision. With planet waka waka unfolding we have an exciting line of NFT collections that will be launching soon across chains. In the meantime, let’s talk legendary mask collection….
Legendary Masks Of Urim Mint
We’ve always been firmly grounded to deliver on our promises and boy were we stoked that we finally got to drop the legendary mask collection. We were delighted that a number of Morans were able to mint their masks with a few others left to claim theirs. Please note if you were whitelisted & still haven’t minted you have until the end of the month to do so. If I were you I’d make sure I mint mine 💪🏽. Cross chain 🥳
We are keen to establish a diverse ecosystem. We have exciting partnerships lined up to help take our NFT collections across chains. We’ve always been blockchain agnostic and look forward to possibly launching on other chains soon. We are exploring a potential partnership with a leading Layer 2 blockchain on Eth. Still early but watch out for more details soon.
IDO
This is more than a project that we purpose to be driven by an authentic brand, it’s an ecosystem. As such we’d love for each and everyone of you morans to be part and parcel of it formations. We will be granting all of you an opportunity to participate and be a part of its ownership. Token launch COMING SOON. Morans are you ready?
