What AFAR’s Mining Mini-Game Is All About

Lava Labs Team here. For a little over a year now, we have been working incredibly hard on developing our debut title A Far Away Realm.
Last week, we announced our latest round of backers, led by our friends over at Dialectic, who believe in our vision and support us in delivering the best experience possible to our community. We were beyond thrilled about the enormous amount of excitement around our work, our game and our community that we saw in response to our announcement.
To keep up the hype, today, we want to share with you some more insights about what will be our most important feature release in Q2: the AFAR mining mini-game!
The mining game will kickstart the economy around our upcoming (Q2) coin launch and is really the backbone to AFAR’s economy in general.

WHAT MINING IS ALL ABOUT
Mining is an essential activity in A Far Away Realm and is the source of all value and delivery of cosmetic items to the community. It is also the primary acquisition loop for precious EGGs that, next to resources, contain cosmetic NFTs.
Players gain resources that allow them to build the game’s meta world. To mine, simply send your hero of choice to faraway planets to scout for RESOURCE LAND. Once found, build a mining camp on the plot of land and select one of your pets to start digging the earth for the rare goods.
When extracted, you can refine gathered resources at the Central HUB into either fuel or building crystal, which can be used to purchase upgrades or to participate in other parts of the game’s economy.
As this year’s first quarter is coming to an end and the second one is steadily approaching, we are incredibly excited to share more features with all of you. We’re looking forward to finally make our first experiences in A Far Away Realm together.
