The success of the companies and the products depends on the healthy team and the environment in which a team works. It has become equally important for a companies to take this responsibility to make sure that timely nourishment of the team is taken care. This post talks about how one can build a healthy team and keep it motivated.

Not every time we get the chance to select the team we want to work with, we are often introduced with team which may or may not all the expertise of the work! It become important to evaluate the team members in terms of :
1. subject — how much one knows about product,
2. technology — how comfortable one is about the technology
3. willingness to learn and grow
Once we get the evaluation of all of these, we get to know our blessings and where we need work more by empowering those who need help, make sure they are listened and helped.

Once we know the team, we need to show, help team understand the big picture, be transparent and set the expectation.

Once team understands the project, keep team engaged and make sure team is moving towards right direction, understand the perspective and make team member able think and help them take right decision.

As a leader it important to shield your team from pressure from other team and timeline crunches, always keep extra buffer before commiting any timeline, this helps releived lot of pressure.

Resignation and hikes demands are regular, don’t take is too personally,
make an honest effort to give complete justice from your side.

There comes time when there are change in requirements, tight deadlines, disagreement with peer or management, control your emotions in changing environment, don’t let it impact on your team, take a step back and think for long term before making any comment.

Always revisit the work delivered, re evaluate and aspire to improve.
consolidate the work effort by all team members and appreciate and acknowledge those who did better.

Acknowledgement of teams effort, is the single most motivating factor for a team to keep working!
