Surah Al-Qadr is the 97th chapter of the Holy Quran and only consists of 5 verses. Why Was Surah Al Qadr Revealed?
The first Surah that was revealed in the Quran was Surah Al Qadr. The first revelation was done in the month of Ramadan.
Then other chapters followed. According to tradition, the first verse that was revealed on the Holy Prophet (PBUH) was revealed in the last ten days of Ramadan on the Prophet (PBUH). Below are the two reasons why the Surah was revealed in the first place.

Surah Al-Qadr In Arabic (With Translation)
إِنَّآ أَنزَلْنَٰهُ فِى لَيْلَةِ ٱلْقَدْرِ
وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا لَيْلَةُ ٱلْقَدْرِ
لَيْلَةُ ٱلْقَدْرِ خَيْرٌ مِّنْ أَلْفِ شَهْرٍ
تَنَزَّلُ ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ وَٱلرُّوحُ فِيهَا بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهِم مِّن كُلِّ أَمْرٍ
سَلَٰمٌ هِىَ حَتَّىٰ مَطْلَعِ ٱلْفَجْرِ
“Indeed, ˹it’s˺ We ˹Who˺ sent this ˹Quran˺ down on the Night of Glory. And what will make you realize what the Night of Glory is?. The Night of Glory is better than a thousand months. That night the angels and the ˹holy˺ spirit descend, by the permission of their Lord, for every ˹decreed˺ matter. It is all peace until the break of dawn.”
Benefits Of Surah Qadr
Provides Relief From Itching
Itching, often known as scabies, is a highly common disease that affects many people and causes a great deal of suffering.

- On the first day, recite Durood Ibrahim 11 times and after, and then 21 times Surah Qadr.
- On the second day, recite 11 times Durood Ibrahim and after, and 11 times Surah
- On the third day, recite Durood Ibrahim 11 Times before and after, and then 7 times Surah.
- You should know that while you do this, you should keep your face towards Mecca Sharif and do this task with complete belief and faith.
