First, create an account on github.com.

(I) Using Git on your system

Installation on Debian Based OS:

Open Terminal:

sudo apt-get install git

Installation on Windows:

Set-Up (One Time Only Step):

git config --global user.email "github email"git config --global user.name "name (not necessarily username)" 

Go to the local repository (folder):

cd repository-name

Initialize with git:

git init

Create a .gitignore file. Git ignores this file. Write the name of the virtual environment (venv), cache (.cache, .pyc) and other desired files here.

Add files to the stage area. …
