This guide provides a detailed walkthrough of the SRC-20 token and Bitcoin Stamp minting process, from initial payment to final ownership. It paves the way for newcomers to these new protocols, highlighting the peculiarities of minting on the Bitcoin blockchain compared to other platforms.

⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTICE: ️⚠️

SRC-20 IS STILL VERY NEW, THE INFRASTRUCTURE IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION (CEX/DEX/INDEXERS). EXPECT THE MINTING PROCESS TO BE SLOW OR THAT YOUR TRANSACTION MADE EARLIER CAN BE OVERRUN BY ANOTHER ONE THAT PAYS HIGHER FEES. DO NOT SPEND MONEY YOU CANNOT AFFORD TO LOSE.

RareStamp uses the minting API developed by Stampchain. If you have any problems during your minting, please contact the Minting Support team at https://t.me/mintingsupport.

Navigating the world of digital assets can be a daunting task, especially when dealing with new protocols such as SRC-20 or Stamps. Minting these tokens involves a unique process distinct from other blockchains. This guide will provide a step-by-step walkthrough on the minting process of SRC-20, from initial payment to final ownership.

1º Minting Payment

To start, visit a page such as https://www.rarestamp.xyz/minting/src20 or https://stampchain.io/src20/ to make the payment for minting your SRC-20 (Step-by-step guide to SRC-20 & Art minting). This process does not carry out the minting per se, but rather takes care of the payment for it. The transaction is considered complete once it is confirmed in the mempool.

2º Queue Placement

After making the payment, the minting process is placed in a queue along with other ongoing SRC-20 minting processes. A script automatically verifies that the payment has been made in the indicated wallet. This step ends when another transaction is confirmed and executed to carry out the minting. This may take a few hours, depending on the congestion in the mempool and the minting processes in the queue.

3º Minting Confirmation

Once the minting is confirmed in phase 2, a new transaction is carried out to grant ownership of the SRC-20 to the wallet you have indicated on the minting website. When this third transaction is confirmed, you can now view your SRC-20 in your wallet by searching for it on https://stampchain.io/index.html

Important notes:

It’s important to note that the indexer that shows your stamps fastest is Stampchain’s. Xchain also does it, but it doesn’t display the images. The wallets of Freewallet, Hiro or Xverse still do not support SRC-20.

The SRC-20 protocol is very recent, so if you are looking for a fully developed protocol, you may have arrived a bit early. It is expected that in a month there will be marketplaces, indexers and SRC-20 integrations available in most wallets.

Lastly, remember that this is not Ethereum, so the minting processes are not the same. It’s always advisable to do your own research (DYOR).
