It sounds shady, but these days you welcome the shade. You’re feeling pretty desperate knowing that your family is captive. You still have no equipment and no help.
“I’m listening.”
“That merchant you purchased the ring from… he’s just posing as a merchant to gather intel on a rogue band of orcs traveling this area burning and pillaging villages. Rumour is they took his family. He needs that purse.”
You work to keep the surprise off your face.
