This is a continuation of “The Burned Village”, a “choose your own” fiction story (drabble edition) created by JF Danskin. To go back to the previous chapter written by John Fanidis, click here. To find out how you can contribute to the ongoing story, click here.

“Did you really think I would fall for this?”, you reply. “Are there still people who believe that ‘It’s Fake’ line? I decline your insulting offer!”

You turn around with as much determination as you can muster and are surprised by your own display of confidence. Hoping nobody has noticed your fear, you begin to storm off.

As you are about to leave the shady ramshackle hut, you hear an apologetic voice calling after you.

“Wait a minute… you’re smarter than I thought”.

The moneychanger’s words make you stop in your tracks.

“Maybe we can work something out…”

Choices:

  1. You turn back and agree to listen to the moneychanger’s new offer (click here).
  2. You ignore the moneychanger and keep walking (click here).
  3. You turn back and attack the moneychanger (click here).

I spent way too much time trying to come up with something entertaining to write here.
