Survivor 41 episode 4 power rankings: Power begets power

With last week’s episode focused primarily on advantages, the Survivor 41 episode 4 power rankings reflect the changing dynamics.

The weekly Survivor 41 power rankings return, taking a peek for the frontrunners, the mid-game floaters, and those who might be voted out next in episode 4.

Last week’s feature showed both Brad and JD as primary candidates to be voted out, and it was Shan that held both players’ fates in her hands, ultimately voting out Brad. Minus the premiere, “Whose advantages can help me most” has been the deciding factor for who goes home each week.

Let’s hope those things change as we look at the Survivor 41 episode 4 power rankings!

Frontrunners

Shan Smith: At this point, Shan’s winner edit is getting too obvious, which is an edgic worry. At this point in the game, however, she’s dictating which players (and their advantages) she can wield at future points in the game, and everybody is giving her all the information in the world to make her decisions.

Evvie Jagoda: We saw very little of Evvie this past week, but she remains on top of the Yase tribe. Liana is quickly gaining on her, though.

Deshawn Radden: Deshawn remains one of the few story-relevant players on Luvu. Getting an extra vote is a big part of that, and being a tribe leader who currently isn’t targeted helps cement his tribe’s frontrunner status.

In the Mix

Liana Wallace: Liana lamented not taking out Xander previously and received a lot more personal content in last week’s episode to further solidify her position within the game. Hopefully, we’ll see her agency as a player shine brightly soon enough.

Danny McCray: Despite being targeted by Naseer, Sydney instantly let him know in front of everybody in the tribe, minus Naseer. The visuals of everyone laughing over Naseer’s misstep cements Danny’s safety at this stage.

Ricard Foyé: One week after targeting Brad, he had a hand in voting him out and weighing the pros and cons with Shan this past week. Ricard has shown influence over the Ua tribe, and he’s not putting himself in the front seat while doing so. That bodes well in the long term.

Tiffany Seely: She did a reasonably good job of trying to leverage her lousy positioning in the advantage island confrontation while not putting herself of her tribe in a compromising place. Plus, Yase didn’t have to go to Tribal Council this episode! Baby steps.

Middle / Swing Players

Erika Casupanan: The “Next Time On Survivor” preview promises Erika content with at least a confessional. Hopefully, she’s the one targeting Sydney and not the other way around!

Heather Aldret: There is no promise we’ll get to know who this player is.

Sydney Segal: Sydney was all over the board, putting her in a challenging position heading into Survivor 41 episode 4. She is constantly wavering on players like Naseer, outright betraying him in front of the whole tribe, not leveraging her advantage island opportunities to form bonds with the opposing tribemates, and is now being targeted by a player for the first time.

JD Robinson: By Shan taking him under her wing, there are two ways that JD can bounce back. He can either be a loyal henchman that eventually betrays Shan near the finish line or position himself with friends he made at vote wheel island to take her out at the merge.

Either way, he now has options.

In Trouble / Potential Targets

Xander Hastings: With Brad losing his Beware Advantage idol, barring any changes, it looks like Xander has lost his vote on the Yase tribe. He’ll be eligible to vote only if he makes the merge, putting him in the crosshairs of a tribe that previously betrayed him.

Genie Chen: She lost her closest ally when the vote came between Brad and JD, putting her at odds with everyone else at Ua. It’s more a matter of numbers than being on anyone’s radar before episode 4.

Naseer Muttalif: C’mon, Naseer; you can’t constantly be going after the people keeping you from going Tribal Council. Now that he knows Sydney is speaking out of both sides of her mouth, it might be too little, too late for him to reverse course.
