Possibility Mindset — Day 40

Woke up the day after Christmas with both my eyes almost swollen shut and a massive red rash on my right cheek. My body was reacting to something severely foreign.

On the 27th, I was scheduled to travel cross-country on a 4 hour flight.

To my surprise, I arrive at the airport in record time. My phone directs me to the check-in counter. I proceed to I find out that our plane has been diverted to another city due to dense fog.

All the passengers are told to endure the entire check-in process one more time, 45 minutes away, in the city where the aircraft is now scheduled to land.

The rash and swelling on my face are relentless and continue to grow.

I hop on a charter bus with my family. I take refuge in my my partner who has held her composure the entire time.

I have been trying to adopt an abundance mindset, a possibility mindset for a while.

I must admit — this is one of those times when I thought about what else could possibly go wrong instead of right.

I have no recommendations, no advice, no platitudes to get anyone through a similar experience.

The only thing I have is something to reflect on and how I may change my future reactions if I am in a similar situation again (which I hope never happens).

To possibilities!
