5starts adds new team with focus on brand creation & user experience.
Experts in Marketing & Design, Public Relations and User Experience to guide startups in Vienna-based incubator program will focus on branding.
Turning ideas into brands
Creating a successful brand in a competitive market is one of the most vital steps in any startup’s roadmap. With the addition of public relations manager Daniel Eberharter, design-agency founder Philipp Kanape and developer Nik Graf to the 5starts mentor-team, 5starts is able to offer focused guidance for startups within the incubator.
5starts is sektor5’s homegrown startup incubator, giving selected start-ups the opportunity to receive special sektor5-treatment for five months, during which they can truly focus on advancing their product. 5starts organizes tailor-made workshops, trainings and hackathons, but also offer access to the sektor5 alumni network and the investor eco-system.
Philipp Kanape
Philipp is the creative director and founder of the technology and innovation focused design agency En Garde, based in Graz and Vienna. Philipp is driven by creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship. He has worked with Erste Bank, Magna, Lena Hoschek, frontlineshop, Beiersdorf, TBWA, among many others, and has received prestigious awards such as the Cannes Lion, Red Dot, CCA and Vienna Fashion awards. Philipp also teaches Brand Development at the University of Applied Sciences in Graz.
Daniel Eberharter
Daniel is a press, PR and communications expert with a passion for keeping his eyes on the big picture. His work at WUK, one of Europe’s most popular music-venues & interdisciplinary cultural centres, included promoting and organising sold-out shows and public viewing events such as the FM4 EM/WM-Quartier. Daniel’s background is in journalism, most prominently at Radio FM4 and Vice Austria. Daniel helped launch Vice in Austria as their digital editor in 2007. Deep knowledge of the Austrian media and publishing-scene (previous work also included customer relations management at Der Standard) makes Daniel an expert in how to get your story across and making your mark.
Nik Graf
Nik is a developer with heavy focus on UX. He co-created several popular open source Projects like DraftJS Plugins & Carte Blanche. Nik participated in Stripe’s Open Source Retreat, organizes the ReactJS Vienna Meet-up and recently joined for US startup Serverless.
