Thank you to all the members of our community — entrepreneurs, urban drivers, bikers, taxis, motoboys, kombi drivers, black car drivers, students, unemployed fathers and mothers who are using Shippify as a disruptive source of revenue to pay their studies and debts but mostly to thrive in a moment of crisis and scarcity of employment. At last but not least, thank you to all our fans, supporters, public functionaries and lawyers.

All of you are valuable members of our community! You all are the chosen ones, the heroes that fix the economy and make the difference during hard times. You are the “crazy ones, the rebels, the misfits, the ones that keep pushing forward until they finally make it.”.

Our platform allows entrepreneurs and small business owners to send packages to their customers by connecting delivery requests with a community of people who are willing and interested to do those deliveries. We facilitate the voluntary exchange of on-demand services.

The same positive responsiveness to Innovation was not shared by the “Brazilian Post office”, a Public Company with a indisputable Monopoly. On November 20, 2015, we received a cease-and-desist letter from Brazilian Post office demanding the shutdown of our activities within 10 days, alleging a violation of it’s infamous and controversial “exclusive privilege of sending correspondence” in the national territory of Brazil.

The letter from Brazilian Post Office

This nonsense action, reminded us the famous satire of the French philosopher, Frederic Bastiat in 1845, where the “Manufacturers of candles, lanterns, sticks, lamps and generally of everything connected with lighting, wrote a petition to the “To the Honourable Members of the Chamber of Deputies” requesting the Government to “shut down the Sun” because it was generating light.

To the public and our community — we would like to clarify that we don’t deliver any kind of bills or correspondence of any public or private service, such as light, water and energy bills or other administrative or commercial letters that are exclusive competence of this public company.

Shippify will continue to deliver goods and packages made with pride by entrepreneurs! We won’t stop delivering fresh vegetables, beautiful teddy bears, wedding dresses, coffee, wines, videogames, juices, bread, fresh salads, delicious brownies, sandwiches, cakes, mattresses, dirty clothes, and even gorgeous flowers made by free individuals in a democratic society.

We assure to everybody that we won’t stop or hide our innovative spirit and thirst to disrupt. We are driven by meaning and courage to overcome challenges. We will use the Sun to reflect and propagate around the world our ideals under which is based our entrepreneurial culture. This is an open letter and a manifest to empower and support innovation and crazy ideas, to bring out the best of everyone, the best of us and leave the dark moments behind!

“There is only a few who dare to lead the way, be that guy be the change.“
