Exclusive: IceTre on Investing Your Money, Being a Conscious Rapper In 2021, & His Views on The Youth.
“I think investing in your goals is key. Much can happen if you feel you’re worth the coin.” says Idahoan rapper and producer IceTre. “Don’t get greedy, but don’t leave hungry.” This rings true in many ways. “If done right then there is enough food on the table for everyone.”
Wisely speaking, the 29 year old rapper says he doesn’t mind giving advice & sharing his knowledge. He maintains the light of a conscious artist by producing gleaming singles like, “Radio Raheem” which talks about police brutality in America. The concept for the song came from the movie “Do The Right Thing” released by Spike Lee in 1989. The next single “Crystal Ball”, which speaks from the formal narrative of a reminiscing musician recognizing his early potential.
IceTre speaks boldly when it comes to his son and he believes that the youth is the future. He has maintained that he wants his son to have better chances at life’s hardships if they come his way versus when he was younger. IceTre was born in 1992 on February 28th. Racism and bullying plagued him for years causing his grades to suffer. He feels there needs to be more safe guards in place so kids are protected and can focus on academics.
