(Tried tactics which you shouldn’t ignore.)

Ranking on the first page on Google can be a game-changer, especially for creators like YOU & me!

And we all know why ranking on Google is such a big deal, right?

It’s because of the huge number of people using it.

Or, to put it simply, it’s all about the free traffic you get from being seen there.

I recently discovered that one of my Pinterest articles made it to Google’s first page.

You know what’s the best part?

It happened without any paid promotions!

What’s even more surprising is that I only published it four weeks ago, on April 1st, 2024.

My Medium account currently has 139 blog posts.

This number might not seem significant, but it’s important to understand the context.

When I started out, I was juggling a full-time job.

So, naturally, I couldn’t pump out content as frequently as I wanted to.

But now that I’ve left my job and made writing on Medium a priority, I’m confident that as I keep adding more content to my Medium account, I’ll continue to gain organic traction from Google.

If you’re curious about the tricks which I’ve personally used to get this organic result, then you definitely need to follow along, because I’ll be sharing all of them in this blog post😊.

1. Defining Your KPOA!

KPOA, as I call it, means — Keywords Plan of Action.

When it comes to getting ranked on Google, choosing the right keywords is crucial.

Start by researching keywords that are relevant to your niche and have high search volumes.

For example, I’m a Pinterest creator and I’ve experience in that field, so, I’d go and research keywords that my target audience would likely be searching for.

I’ve compiled some of the best keywords & trends finding tools in this blog. Do check it out!

Once you’ve identified your target keywords, strategically incorporate them into your blog content.

This includes using them in your titles, headings, and tags.

Though this may sound very obvious, but this one simple hack really works wonder!

2. Quality Wins the GAME

Quality content is king, no matter which platform you choose.

I’m sure you’ve come across some online gurus who advocate for a questionable tactic:

copying the top-ranking blog posts, running them through Quillbot for a quick rephrase, and then republishing them as your own.

But, let me give you a reality check!

Copying and rephrasing content may seem like a shortcut, but it won’t bring lasting results.

You’ve to provide quality to your audience in one way or the other.

The internet is filled with all sorts of contents.

There are already millions of posts ranking on Google, which are competing to get eyeballs for the same keyword which you’re using.

So, how do you find your target audience and make sure that your content gets seen by the right people.

The answer is SIMPLE — Provide Value!

Focus on creating high-quality, valuable content that meets the needs of your audience.

Quality content not only attracts readers but also earns trust and credibility from both users and search engines like Google.

3. Follow the Inaction-Action Principle

I picked up this principle from Ankur Warikoo while watching one of his interviews where he was talking about his latest book — Make Epic Money.

This principle essentially suggests two key phases:

  • Focused Action: This is where you actively work on your goals.

For instance, in content creation, it involves tasks like researching keywords, making the first draft and finally hitting that publish button.

It’s all about putting in the effort.

  • Patient Inaction: Now, comes the second phase.

In this phase you’ve to wait patiently for the results, without getting too much overwhelmed.

Remember it’s a waiting game.

You can’t rush how quickly your article will rank on Google or when it’ll gain traction.

Understand that even if you’ve done everything right, it takes time for people to find your amazing content.

What you need to do is keep putting out good work!

4. Hook with The Headings

Headlines or headings are one of the first things that users see when they come across your content on search engine results pages (SERPs).

It’s your opportunity to make a strong first impression and convince users that your content is worth their attention.

Think how you can make someone stop and click on your blog heading.

In my case, I’ve used two main tactics while crafting this heading —

  • Relevance to Search Query: The heading specifically targets a niche topic — Pinterest hacks for social media marketers.

By incorporating keywords that users commonly search for, it becomes highly relevant to search queries related to Pinterest marketing.

  • Social Proof: The mention of “more than 60 million views” provides compelling social proof.

I personally believe social proof works wonders!

This not only adds credibility but also signals to users that the content has been tried and tested, making it more trustworthy.

Final Thoughts🎯

Try these tactics, stay consistent, learn as you grow and you’ll definitely start seeing some positive results!
