The Journey Map follows the primary persona done previously. It identifies different touchpoints, challenges, and opportunities in the various phases of traveling, helping me empathize with and understand the user.

The planning and returning home phase generally went on smoothly for the user. The pain points come in during her time oversea, as well as planning for the itinerary.

New opportunities that are worth featuring were found through the journey map as well. This includes:

  • using smart technology for planning purposes
  • learning from other travelers’ cultural shock
  • leveraging locals’ recommendations and reviews
  • learning common phrases in the native language, and
  • being exposed to the foreign transport system before traveling
