Telos Canton Review, Promises, and Plans 2019

Looking back over the past six months, it has been a great honor and encouragement to have become a Telos BP candidate, nevertheless we still have a long way to go in this journey. It takes sustained and positive contribution to earn the votes in the interactive voting process. So Telos Canton has highlighted some important work for this year as our promises to the voters:
1. BPC (Block Producer Candidate)
Ensure the performance, stability, and security of the BP servers at all times. When serving as a Block Producer, we will take full responsibilities and fulfill the obligations of a Block Producer and participate in all governance work. When being a standby BP, we will witness and oversee all governance work and keep the voters updated in a timely manner. Set up a “Voter’s Mailbox” to receive voter’s suggestions and requests, and communicate them to other BPs and Telos Foundation, and follow up the progress and results.
2. TKB (Telos Knowledge Base)
To systematically collect and organize Telos knowledge and build a knowledge base in Chinese and English. And to set up a Community FAQ section to enable convenient access of the information.
3. TWT (Telos World Tree)
A theme tree created by Telos Canton. It is a huge oak tree that symbolizes the operation of the Telos world, from which many interesting elements and stories can be discovered. Since it will grow very large, we will consider using the form of a collage. In addition, we will also try to create together with artists of different cultural backgrounds and styles. We will also design and make a few accessories such as paper lanterns, desk lamps, keychains, badges, pins, stickers, caps, T-shirts and so on.

4. BTCC (Bridge to Chinese Community)
A bridge that helps all Telos BPs and DApps enter the Chinese community. Including Chinese translation, content posting, staff recruitment, event organization, Chinese community maintenance, customer service and so on. BTCC will organize WeChat group events on a regular basis, inviting Telos BPs and DApp teams to interact with the Chinese community share knowledge and ideas.
5. TCTT (Telos Chinese Translation Team)
Telos Chinese translation team will translates important documents related to Telos into Chinese.
6. TPS (Telos Philosophy Society)
The Telos Philosophy Society welcomes enthusiasts to have discussions on philosophy, decentralization, governance and token economic models. Telos Canton believes that the study of “registering natural person on blockchain” is very important, under the premise of ensuring privacy, ownership and usage of personal data, “registering natural person on blockchain” has positive effects on restricting “whales” (effectively preventing ‘Sybil Attack’) and expanding blockchain applications. In addition, “natural person voting weight” and “natural person governance node” are a governance model worth exploring, so Telos Canton will actively research in these areas.
7. TCDC (Telos Chinese Developer Community)
Telos Canton hopes more and more Chinese developers will join the Telos DApp development. Due to the fact that many Chinese developers have relatively lower English proficiency, it is necessary to establish the “Telos Chinese Developer Community” in order to enable more developers to join. Telos Canton will work with other Chinese BPs and community members to form this developer community, organize, translate, write and exchange development documents, organize development training, and seek support from the Telos Foundation. In addition, Telos Canton believes that developers should be encouraged to develop DApps that are beneficial for society and that create real value.
8. GSC (The Good Grants Selection Committee)
A potential DApps support program initiated by GoolBlock. As a member of the Selection Committee, Telos Canton would like to recommend and help at least one potential DApp to obtain free Telos network resource support in 2019.
9. Assist in registering TLOS to the China cryptocurrency market platform
Such as “Feixiaohao”, “Biniuniu”, “Mytoken” and other China mainstream cryptocurrency market platform. Please note that these platforms only provide market information on crypto currencies but not trading services.
In addition to the above-mentioned community work, Telos Canton DAO management and DApp Libra.Vote is our top priority.
In the face of these tasks, hard work is what we will offer to 2019. Let’s get the balls rolling!

回顾过去半年，相比众多为 Telos 的诞生作出了巨大贡献的节点们，Telos Canton 的工作仍然非常不足。 然而有赖于大家的支持，Telos Canton 时而能进入到生产节点的行列，既感荣幸又诚惶恐。在动态选举中，如若缺乏持续且积极的贡献，随时都可能失去选民的支持。所以我们定下了未来一年的工作重点，作为 Telos Canton 的参选承诺：
- BPC（Block Producer Candidate）：在任何时候都确保节点服务器的性能、稳定和安全性。在当选期间，全面承担生产节点的所有责任，全力履行生产节点的义务，参与所有治理工作；在预备节点期间，积极见证和监督所有治理程序，及时向选民汇报最新情况。建立“选民信箱”，认真对待选民的每一个诉求和建议，收集整理向其他生产节点和基金会反映，并跟进处理进度和结果。
- TKB（Telos Knowledge Base）：系统地收集和整理 Telos 的相关知识，建立一个中英文对照的知识库。并整理社区成员的常见问题，便于在社区讨论中随时查询和引用。
- TWT（Telos World Tree）：Telos 世界树由 Telos Canton 发起的主题创作，它是一棵象征 Telos 世界运转的大橡树，从中能挖掘出许多非常有意思的元素和故事。由于它将来会生长的非常巨大，所以我们会考虑采用拼画的形式展示。另外，我们也会尝试和不同文化背景和风格的艺术家联合创造。还会尝试制造一些 Telos 的周边产品，比如：“Telos 纸扎灯笼”，“Telos 夜灯”，“Telos 钥匙扣”、“Telos 徽章”、“Telos 胸针”、“Telos 帖纸”、“Telos 帽子”和“Telos T恤”等等。

- TPS（Telos Philosophy Society）：Telos 哲学社，组织哲学和去中心化研究爱好者交流讨论，对链上治理和通证经济模型进行有益的探讨。Telos Canton 认为对“自然人上链”的研究和实践非常重要，在充分保证个人私隐和自然人完全掌握个人信息所有权及使用权的前提下，“自然人上链”对制约“巨鲸”（有效防止‘女巫攻击 Sybil Attack’）和扩大区块链应用都有积极意义。而“自然人投票权重”或“自然人治理节点”更是一个值得探讨的治理模型，因此 Telos Canton 在这些领域都会积极地进行研究
- TCDC（Telos Chinese Developer Community）：Telos DApp 的开发热度有待提高，而中国开发者的普遍英语水准欠佳，为了使更多中国开发者加入到 Telos 的 DApp 开发队伍，成立“Telos 华语开发者社区”非常有必要。Telos Canton 将与其他华语节点以及社区成员携手组建这个开发者社区，整理、翻译、撰写和交流开发资料，组织开发培训，并争取得到基金会的支持。另外，Telos Canton 认为应该向开发者倡导开发对社会有积极意义并能创造实际价值的区块链应用。
- GSC（The GoodGrants Selection Committee）：由 GoolBlock 发起的潜力 DApp 支持计划。Telos Canton 作为其选拨委员会成员，争取能在2019年成功推荐一至两个有潜力的 DApp 获取免费系统资源支持。
- 协助登记 TLOS 到中文行情平台：如“非小号（Feixiaohao）”、“币牛牛（Biniuniu）”、“Mytoken”等流量较大的主流中文行情平台，它们纯粹展示行情信息，不提供交易服务。
欢迎选民们对 Telos Canton 的参选承诺提出建议，我们坚守“公平、公正、公开”原则，接受选民的长期监督。
除了上述社区类工作外，当然 Telos Canton 的自治组织管理和去中心化应用 Libra.Vote 仍是重中之重。
