This was a great achievement already, but as you can imagine, from here you should not simply use a colour picker to extract some colours 🙂.

The first step to proceed with after the mood board creation was to map the colours on a colour wheel. This is where we use science as base instead of improvising.

There are multiple online tools that can be used for the purpose of placing colours on a wheel and get a palette out of them. The good news is that they’re all free. The bad news is that there are so many, you might get lost in choosing which one is actually perfect for your needs.

Personally, I’ve always found Color Calculator the simplest and most complete among all the ones I’ve tried.
You could also have a look to more famous and complex ones like this one from Adobe or Paletton.
Since we’re trying to use a bit of science and not just instinct to create our palette, I would avoid using tools like Coolors (random colours generator); they are great tools for inspiration, but you’ll end up choosing colours only based on your personal taste, which is not the purpose of this exercise.
