Expanding Our Creative Skillsets: Free paint pouring wallpapers

“…if you think of creativity as a skill, a muscle that you can work, then anyone has the capacity to be creative.”

Creativity isn’t a gift that only some possess- it is a skill that can be developed and challenged, just like any other. At the AppHaus by SAP Design, Palo Alto, we endeavor to constantly push our creative boundaries at the office and beyond. In addition to AppHaus annual offsite and weekly rituals, we organize fun activities in order to bond as a team and ever-expand our creative skillsets- a practice that has both personal and professional benefits.

Last week, as a special farewell to our former manager, Janaki (now working in the Office of the Chief Design Officer!) we gathered after work to learn the art of paint pouring from the artist Hagit Azoulay-Rozanes. The simple technique, which involves pouring paint mixed with glue and silicon oil onto canvas, challenged us to surrender a degree of control throughout the creative process, and enjoy unexpected results.

We were so pleased with our paintings, that we decided to make them into wallpapers to share! Take a look. Download for free and enjoy!
