Tokoin Signed MOU with KADIN (Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry) at the Global Blockchain Investment Summit 2019
The Global Blockchain Investment Summit is the very first blockchain summit held by KADIN Indonesia, the Indonesian organization for trading and industry
The Global Blockchain Investment Summit (GBIS) 2019 which concluded yesterday saw the largest Blockchain conference in Indonesia bring together around 500 Investment Institutions and Investors and more than 3000 international attendees. The summit featured some big names in attendance — Rico Rustombi — Vice Chairman of Logistics and Supply Chain Management, KADIN Indonesia; Ender Xu — Founding Chairman of the Global Blockchain Investment Alliance and Chairman — Hong Kong Blockchain Association; H.H. Sheikh. Abdullah Bin Rashid Al Sharqi — Member of Ruling Family, Al Fujairah, U.A.E; Rosan Perkasa Roeslani — Chairman of KADIN Indonesia; Darmin Nasution — Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Ministry Of Economic Coordinator, Republic of Indonesia; Rudiantara — Minister of Communication and Information Technology, Ministry Of Communication And Information Technology Of Indonesia and Bambang Brodjonegoro — Minister of National Development Planning, Ministry Of National Development Planning Of Indonesia, indicating the number of important institutions are giving to this up and coming industry.
The event also witnesses Tokoin, Indonesia’s number 1 blockchain project sign an MOU with KADIN on 29th July 2019. The MOU makes Tokoin a member of the Blockchain Center of Excellence and Education (BCEE) which stands as a testament to their working relationship which began in November 2018. The partnership will see KADIN providing support to Tokoin in accelerating the growth of MSMEs locally and in turn, Tokoin will support KADIN and assist the BCEE in improving local talent in the field of blockchain.
Reiner Rahardja, CEO of Tokoin was also a panelist on the topic “Driving Indonesia’s Economic Transformation with Blockchain” along with Sheikh Khalfan Al-Mazrouei, Former Secretary and Advisor to Ruler of Abu Dhabi, U.A.E., Senior Advisor, WTIA; Steven Suhadi, Chairman, Indonesia Blockchain Association; Ender Xu, Founding Chairman, Global Blockchain Investment Alliance; Tong Tang, Chairman, Hong Kong Blockchain Association and Paul Cheng, CEO, BitCherry. Reiner explained Tokoin’s solution to issues that are faced by MSMEs in Indonesia and other emerging markets, their plans to expand globally and their intention to partner with like-minded organizations and institutions.
Tokoin has showcased its platform in over 27 cities in 10 countries through national and international roadshows over the past year. Understanding that partnerships are the way to ensure quick market exposure, adoption, and penetration, Tokoin has been at it since inception, partnering with Indonesian Ministry of Industry and Ministry of Trade as well as some big names like Ralali, Pasarpolis, and Sahabat UMKM locally and Blockcrafters, Destreet, Refereum, and Tomochain internationally.
