Here’s everything that went down in Chapter 4 of Deaddie Du Dead.
The following contains spoilers for Deaddie Du Dead Chapter 4, “Lights Out,” written and illustrated by Arūnas Murnikovas, available in English from MyFutprint Entertainment. Debuted in Issue #18 Saturday PM.
Deaddie Du Dead Chapter 4 picks up after Yvas and Alissa were on a mission to infiltrate a building and take out a group of low-class assassins when they encountered a White rabbit hybrid and a cute girl. Yvas is unable to use P.O.N. (Power of Nature) properly and it was producing unpredictable results during his fight. Yvas is still troubled by his inability to control his awakening and can only uncontrollably uses it when he has no way out, leading to only more unpredictable results. The chapter ends with Yvas and Alissa being attacked by the White Rabbit hybrid, whose boss put a bounty on Yvas. Alissa immediately remembers the White rabbit and tells Yvas to run, and the White Rabbit uses a move we’ve never seen in the manga before. The chapter ends on a cliffhanger, indicating that the White rabbit is just the beginning of their problems.
Alissa vs. Tamsa
This chapter begins in the fast-paced and exciting battle between two seemingly powerful fighters. Alissa and Tamsa clash in a brutal fight, with Alissa using her Awakening to defeat Tamsa. The fight is well-choreographed and exciting. Tamsa reveals that she is a member of a street gang that Alissa has been killing members of. that has been terrorizing the city. She is a powerful and dangerous fighter, and she is not afraid to kill.
Tamsa has these black things with eyeballs that she can create and destroy with ease. She uses one of them to swallow Alissa and transport her, and they can even be used to protect Tamsa during a fight. Alissa can’t escape Tamsa, she has to fight.
The fight between Alissa and Tamsa is evenly matched, and the battle is full of suspense. We find out the true purpose of Tamsa, as she isn’t fighting Alissa because she really cares about her fellow street gang members, but she despises that people hate the activities she does but “admires” Alissa doing the exact same thing, effectively. In fact, Tamsa believes that Alissa “is always trying to pretend to be someone else.”
To add a cherry on top, in a cocky manner, Tamsa declares that Alby (“White Rabbit”) has finished defeating Yvas and reminds Alissa that she must focus on the fight with her and not her “boyfriend.” Spoiler?? Maybe Yvas and Alissa is the couple we’re dying for? Alissa is able to use her awakening to create a hole in the wall, which she uses as a distraction to kick Tamsa in the face. Alissa responds to Tamsa getting “bored” and lets her know that she talks too much and is sure Yvas is safe and can handle his own.
This concludes the chapter. Things are heating up and I’m excited to se where Murnikovas takes the story. Deaddie Du Dead is a dark and violent manga, but it is also an enjoyable and well-written story. As we begin to see the plot developing, Murnikovas is keeping us engaged. The characters are developing, the fight scenes are exciting, and the plot is engaging. If you are a fan of dark and violent manga, then Deaddie Du Dead is definitely worth checking out.

Synopsis from Saturday AM: In the dismal world where humans live together with hybrids everything becomes more distorted day by day.
