Do you feel intimidated when you see other programmers quickly navigate through hundreds of lines of code, make blazing fast edits or open multiple tabs during development and hardly touch their mouse or touch-pad ?
It feels like you are watching a magician perform amazing feats and you instantly think she is born to code. You imagine that attempting such feat is out of your reach and would take you forever to catch up.
Well, in this short guide, I will show you the website I built and help you learn that it will only take some daily practice and…
Wow! How time flies!
It has been 43 days already since I first made the decision to become serious with my writing. I didn’t know it would be this exciting and become something I looked forward to do daily. It’s hard to believe how scared I was to pick and commit to a schedule just over a month ago.
Today I want to share my story on how I got started and I hope you will learn a few things to help you too.
I decided to start writing after I was featured on my friend’s podcast where I talked…
We have our amazing goals, plans and strategies.
We are so passionate about the end result.
We bask in it the vision of its fulfillment and glory.
But we often stop there.
Why does this happen ? Are we lazy? Are we that incompetent ? I doubt. I think there's something else at play here.
It's our expectations. Yes, our expectations are the culprit.
We expect the goal vision or dream to be a success the moment we execute the first time we make our move.
We expect success to be so close that we need not stretch ourselves too…
In this guide, I will show you step by step how to save money from your shopping on Jiji.ng. The steps are simple and straight forward so anyone who is determined will be able to pick up this profitable skill.
Jiji, is a classified ads site where lots of sellers advertise their goods and services for buyers (like us) to reach out to them and buy stuff.
It was founded in 2014 in Lagos by Anton Wolyansky and has since grown steadily to become one of the largest online classified ads site in Africa.
I can’t tell you how much excited I am about getting to be listed among the top 100 Nigeria blogs to follow on Feedspot. I feel so great about it.
But most importantly, I want to share my story of how I got picked and I hope it inspires you to keep writing consistently.
I started taking my writing seriously just last month, September 12th precisely. I wrote for about 19 days straight or so.
All the while I was just testing myself to see if I could keep up with the discipline of a professional writer despite my day…
When it comes to transforming our lives, we need to constantly engage an interesting battle in our minds- New You vs Old You.
The battle line is drawn from the very moment you finished writing down those your goals. Yes, after you’ve written down your affirmations or created your vision boards.
Whether you know it or not, you’ve declared war on Old You. You’ve started on the path towards the New You.
On this new path, if you must successfully reach the other side of New You, you have to be fully aware of what is going on.
I’ve always enjoyed reading stories about small, relatively unknown companies that bootstrapped their way to great success.
Learning practical lessons of problem solving, growth strategies, wits, passion and tenacity and ‘luck’ from the founders and their co-founders is awe-inspiring.
Now I don’t mean to say venture capital (VC) money is totally bad. No! I didn’t say that.
This is just my personal opinion and definitely should not be taken as financial advice. We all have our different contexts and circumstances so do your own research and proceed with what is best for you.
With that caveat out of the way…
Wow! How time flies!
It has been 15 days already since I first made the decision to become serious with my writing. I didn’t know it would be this exciting and become something I looked forward to do daily. It’s hard to believe how scared I was to pick and commit to a schedule just two weeks ago.
Today I am doing a recap of the past 15 days. I’m really surprised at myself.
I decided to start writing after I was featured on my friend’s podcast where I talked about getting clients to an audience of fellow software developers…
While I was taking a lot of rest this weekend and recovering from the sudden malaria attack two days ago, I saw this movie — Mine 2016.
If you have the time, it’s a good movie to see. I’m not a movie freak but when I see one, I love to learn as much as I can from it.
It was a story of two US marines who failed on their mission to kill a wanted terrorist far out in the desert regions of Middle East.
One was a deadly sniper, Mike and the other was his ever ebullient partner…
There are times in your life that you feel everything is just plain boring. You have set goals and you are committed to working on them daily but the excitement is slowly fading away or has disappeared completely.
The problem here is not the goals or your commitment but you don’t see any significant progress in a while. It can be disheartening and your desire to give up is getting much stronger with time.
You know what you’re doing is leading you somewhere great but you just want some positive feedback that you are not wasting your time. Many times…
